1. Acceptance of Official Contest Rules

By participating in one of Air China’s contests (the “Contest”), the Contest Participant (the “Participant”) agrees to these contest rules (“Official Rules”) and the decisions made by Air China or the Company’s representative (including, but not limited to to, decisions regarding the qualification and assessment of contest entries (as defined below), the selection of contest winners (as defined below) and the awarding of contest prizes), which are final and binding in all respects. In order to win a prize, Participant must comply with these Official Rules and meet all other requirements described hereby.

2. Qualification

The Contest begin, 00:00, and end, 23:59, on the dates specified in the specific contest announcement (“Promotional Period”). Air China’s contests are only open to individuals over eighteen (18) years of age who, at the time of participation in the contest, are legal resident in Sweden. Any attempt by an Participant to impersonate someone else by using aliases or multiple email addresses will result in the Participant being disqualified. Contest entries generated by scripts, bots, AI, macros or other automated functions are void. If, during or after the Promotional Period, it is discovered that a Participant does not meet any of the eligibility requirements, for the avoidance of doubt, Air China may, in its sole discretion, disqualify the Participant from the Contest. Air China’s decision on qualification is final.

  1. Participation

No purchase is required to enter or win. Participant enter by submitting photos (each a “Contest Entry”) via the method set forth in the specific Contest announcement and Contest Information.

  1. Selection of winners, and notification

Air China selects potential Contest winners (each a “Winner”) from among all eligible contest entries submitted through Air China’s jury’s subjective analysis of the contest entries, the criteria for which are set forth in the specific contest announcement. Potential winners will be notified either (i) via the applicable channel (e.g., Contest page) where the Contest Entry was submitted, or (2), as applicable, via the email address provided within five (5) business days of that the Promotional period has ended. If for any reason a potential winner cannot be contacted within five (5) business days of the first attempt, Air China may select an alternate potential winner in their place from among the remaining eligible Contest entries that did not win. Air China is not responsible if potential winners do not receive notification of a win due to spam filters or other security settings or incorrect or otherwise non-functioning contact information. Potential winners are required to comply with all conditions in these official contest rules and to win, the entrant must meet all requirements.

  1. Prices

Winners will receive the prize described in the announcement of the relevant contest. Contest prizes are awarded “as is” and cannot be sold, transferred or exchanged. Prizes cannot be exchanged for cash or other prizes, however, Air China reserves the right (but does not undertake) to replace a prize, or parts of a prize, with another prize, or part of another prize, of equivalent or greater value, if it is found that the the awarded prize is not available for any reason, as determined by Air China in its sole discretion. By entering the contest, Participants confirm that the contest prizes are awarded by Air China and that the contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by anyone other than Air China. Acceptance of prizes is subject to compliance with all national and local laws and regulations. Any expenses linked to the price, included, but not limited to national, regional and/or local winning taxes and fees, shall be paid exclusively by the respective winners.

  1. General conditions for participation

Contest entries are not returned to contest participants after submission. By entering a Contest, each Contest participant represents that his/her Contest Entry (a) is an original creation, (b) has not been copied or derived in whole or in part from another work, (c) does not infringe or infringe upon (including, where applicable , any images of and persons depicted in the Contest Entry) copyright, trademark, privacy or publicity rights or other proprietary or intellectual property rights of another person or entity, (d) is not offensive, defamatory, objectionable or otherwise unlawful; (e) is wholly owned by the participant, and (f) that he/she has full and global distribution rights for their Contest Entry, (g) that he/she has obtained the written consent of all persons appearing in the contest entry, and (h) that he/she meets all the requirements and conditions of the platform where applicable regarding the use of their services in connection with the contest. Contest Entries that do not meet the above requirements may not be eligible and, if submitted, may be deleted at any time at Air China’s sole discretion. Air China reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify contest entries that it deems do not meet any of the above requirements or otherwise violate these official contest rules.

Air China reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to terminate, modify or suspend an Air China contest, in its sole discretion, believes that there is suspicion or actual evidence that someone has tampered with any part of the contest or in the event of unauthorized interference, fraud, technical difficulties, interruptions or any other factor beyond Air China‘s reasonable control that makes impossible or affects the administration, security, fairness, privacy protection or proper conduct of the contest. In such event, Air China reserves the right (but is not obligated to) in its sole discretion, randomly award the prize to one of all eligible, non-suspect, Contest Entries received up to the time of the Suspected Impact. Air China reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify participants who are deemed to have tampered with the Contest process or the conduct of a Contest or who are acting in violation of these Official Contest Rules or in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner. Any attempt to deliberately undermine the legitimate conduct of a contest is against the law and civil law and if such an attempt is made, participant reserves the right to seek damages and take other legal action against that person to the extent permitted by law. The failure of Air China to enforce any term of these Official Contest Rules shall not be construed as a waiver of that rule or of any other part of these Official Contest Rules.

  1. Non-Exclusive License and Publication of Contest Entries

By submitting a Contest Entry, Contest participants hereby grant Air China a non-exclusive, royalty-free, fully paid-up, perpetual, irrevocable and fully sub-licensable right to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works of, distribute and display their Contest Entry for any purpose, worldwide, in any medium, without further notice, approval, compensation or further consideration to Contest participants, unless prohibited by applicable law.

8. Personal Information Collection

Personal contact information submitted in connection with the contest (whether required or not), including.

Legal name, phone number, e-mail address, and comments constitute consent to Air China and its representatives to use such personal contact information to administer the contest. Contest entrants may choose to be added to Air China’s customer database and allow Air China to contact the participant in the future for marketing or other purposes. Contest participants may opt-out of such communications at any time as described in Air China’s privacy policy (which can be found under https://www.airchina.se/SE/GB/privacy-policy/) or information in the company’s marketing materials (such as by clicking the Unsubscribe Newsletter link at the bottom of Air China’s emails). Contest participants are aware that they are giving out their personal contact information to Air China. The personal contact details given out by contest participants are only used in accordance with Air China’s privacy policy.

  1. Disclaimer and indemnification

Each Contest Participant hereby agrees to, to the fullest extent permitted by law, forever and irrevocably indemnify and hold harmless Air China and its related companies, subsidiaries, those working on behalf of the Company and each of their respective directors, officers, representatives, employees, successors and assigns (“Released Parties”) from any form of claim, damages, loss or other liability, de jure or de facto, whether known or unknown, asserted or not asserted, that may arise as a result of or which is in any way related to participation in the contest or the awarding, receipt, use or misuse of a prize (including travel or related activities).

  1. Limitation of Liability

Air China is not responsible for (a) incorrect or incomplete information in the entry or entries sent late, lost, stolen, illegible, damaged, altered or incomplete, entries sent incorrectly or entries received via unauthorized or illegal channels, all of which are disqualified from the Contest, (b) any technical failure in connection with the Contest, including lost, interrupted or unavailable Internet access, problems with network, server, wireless Internet service provider or other forms of connections, availability or access, or problems with computer, satellite, cell tower or cable network, wiring or technical errors, or interference, delays or addressing errors in transmissions, or errors in or problems with hardware or software, (c) mechanical, network-related, electronic, computer-related, human, printing-related or typographical errors, (d) any other form of error or problem in connection with the contest, including but not limited to errors that may occur in the administration of the contest, announcement of the winner, in connection with the cancellation or postponement of the contest or in materials related to the contest, and (e) personal injury, death, loss or damage of any kind to persons or property which may have been caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, by the participant‘s participation in the Contest or the receipt, use or misuse of a prize in the Contest.

  1. Disputes

All possible disputes, claims for damages and legal actions resulting from or in connection with the contest must be resolved individually, without any form of class action. ANY CLAIM, JUDGMENT AND/OR DECISION SHALL BE LIMITED TO THE ACTUAL MONETARY COST OF ENTERING THE CONTEST. CONTEST PARTICIPANT HEREBY WAIVES ALL RIGHTS AND CLAIMS TO COMPENSATION FOR LEGAL FEES, INDIRECT, SPECIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES TO CONTEST PARTICIPANT, REGARDLESS OF WHETHER OR NOT THE DAMAGE COULD BE FORESEEED AND REGARDLESS OF WHETHER OR NOT THE DAMAGE IS BASED ON NEGLIGENCE..

12. List of winners

The list of the winners in the contests can be obtained by visiting the official contest page.

13. Contest organizer

The contest organizer is Air China Limited, Kungsgatan 64, 111 22 Stockholm, Sweden.

14. Air China flight tickets

Business class return flight tickets from Air China, must depart from Stockholm Arlanda airport and arrive at any of the following destinations, Beijing (PEK), Shanghai (SHA), Wenzhou (WNZ), Guangzhou (CAN), Hangzhou (HGH), Ningbo (NGB), Shenzhen (SZX), Shenyang (SHE), Fuzhou (FOC), Xi’an (SIA), Hongkong (HKG), Taipei (TPE), Bangkok (BKK). The tickets must be BOOKED BEFORE 31 December 2024 and must TRAVEL BEFORE 31 March 2025. Applies to R class only.

The tickets are personal, they cannot be transferred, exchanged, sold, changed, or in any way modified from its original conditions. 

Your booking and travel dates will be subject to availability. 

APPENDIX – Important Information

Each contest has a specific theme and prize. The prices are local and the winners will be selected from among all participants from Sweden. See an overview about prices and dates below.

Each week, Air China’s photo jury will select certain number of winners from among all participants who have submitted photos specific to the contest’s theme. The weekly prices consist of what is described in the contest information. At the end of the contest, the jury will select a grand winner from the total number of entries.

All winners will be contacted via the email address provided when they submitted their entry or via their telephone number to claim their prize.
